Employment Law

The expansion of employment legislation and the impact on organisations have shown an enormous increase in the workload of legal and HR departments in organisations. The Employment Tribunal Service’s annual statistics show that tribunal cases have increased during the past 12 months (to 2013). In efforts to combat the workload, the lapse in time for complainants’ hearings at Employment Tribunals and increasingly high costs of preparation and attendance at the hearings, organisations would benefit from the workshops that Calibre Solutions offer.

Key issues surrounding the employment relationship are explored together with good practice policies and procedures as defined by ACAS. Seminars and workshops include some, or all, of the following:

  • Terms and conditions – contracts of employment; expressed and implied terms.
  • Variation of contacts
  • Grievance and disciplinary issues and the fair reasons for dismissal
  • The Equality Act 2010
  • Redundancy and TUPE legal requirements
  • Agency workers

The above should not be considered as the full content of the legislation as there is a plethora of other acts which apply to the employment relationship, many of these are explained and developed, depending on client requirements.

Calibre Solutions Limited also advise on a consultative basis to individuals and organisations of their employment responsibilities.
